Once upon a time
there was a band named Ten-O-One, but
The story doesn’t
start their, it starts 10 years earlier with a
young boy's dream.
That boy was “Brian Jeffery Ellison ".
By the time I had
reached the stage in "1985” It was already
Quite the journey.
You see back in the late 70's & early 80's
I roadied for a band called "TAXI”. Well can’t quite
call it
roadieing, it was more or
less free labor when they were in
Town and had a break
from the road to rehearse (As Denny
would call it (Denny
Melman; Drummer) .but anyway I was
always hanging
around till eventually when I graduated H.S.
they gave me a job
on the band "Road Crew".
I started out as the
stage manager, winch was more or less
a you go get this, you go
get that type of job. Any case I was
traveling with a
real road band and getting paid. What a life.
The stage manager
thing didn't last too long because the light-
man quit two weeks
later and I moved up to running lights.
I say running lights,
because I couldn't stand ladders so our
soundman hung the
lights and I set up P.A. then we traded
jobs. He ran sound,
I ran lights. We worked that way for 2-
1/2 years till
finally after some happens of chance I ended up
in the Band with
Todd Shafer: Vocals,
Guitar
Troye Kinnett:
Piano, Vocals & Keys
Aaron Pierson: Drums
These were some of
the funniest guys I ever got work with.
Along with our
soundman "Tedd Carr" and our lightdude
"Jeff (Waldo) Allen,
we had a blast. Kickin' ass everyplace we
played we were one
of the baddest band in the nation for not
having a national
album. (yes at that time they were still
recording on vinyl.)
We were really close, we just didn't have the
right agency pushing
us. We were trying none the less.
But we went our separate
ways (that is in another story coming
in the future stay
tuned) but I have finally released the C/D
we recorded, but
never released due to circumstances beyond our
control. So if you’re
interested go to:

Hope to see you
there
